Photo & Video Consent Policy

Alliance Volleyball Club may take photographs and video recordings during practices, clinics, games, tournaments and other club activities. We value our athletes’ privacy and want families to understand how images and recordings may be used.

How content may be used

With parent or guardian consent, identifiable photos, video and audio recordings of athletes may be used on our official website, social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram and Rednote), newsletters, flyers, program promotions, team highlights and club announcements. Content may be cropped or edited for these uses.

Privacy and respectful use

We aim to share appropriate and respectful content. We do not intentionally include full names or other sensitive identifying details of minors without separate authorization. Club staff and authorized representatives should check consent records before publishing identifiable footage, including background appearances.

Parent or guardian consent

During registration, a parent or legal guardian may acknowledge this policy and give permission for their child to be photographed or filmed and for the content to be used as described. We also seek to respect athletes’ own wishes about appearing in content.

Withdrawing consent

To withdraw consent or ask for particular club-published photos or videos to be removed, email info@alliancevbc.ca. We will stop future promotional use and take reasonable steps to remove content from channels we control, where practicable. Content already downloaded, reposted or shared by third parties may not be fully removable.
